FINLEY QUAYE has been cancelled due to "family problems". Eagle Eye Cherry
will be moved to Yellow stage, but there will be no replacement for FINLEY
QUAYE.

THE VERVE has been cancelled! Instead, SISTERS OF MERCY have been flown in
from the UK. They will play Green stage, while German RAMMSTEIN is moved to
Orange stage, where THE VERVE should have played.
As of June 25th at 3.45 pm, there are about 7.000 tickets left - they can be
bought at the entrance.
MARILYN MANSON, FU MANCHU and ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN have been cancelled.They will
be replaced by MISFITS, IN FLAMES and STRANGLERS.
A TRIBE CALLED QUEST has been cancelled.
The line-up for all the bands has been released.
BLACK SABBATH played without their drummer, Bill Ward
This years Official Festival Radio will be made by the 5 Danish college radio
stations, including University Radio Copenhagen. Besides from the Roskilde
area you can also listen to part of these festival broadcasts in the
Copenhagen area on 95,5 MHz.
1998 will be the last year with a DeeDay-stage. The idea of a stage
dedicated to electronic music is copied by so many now, that the festival will
try to come up with a new concept next year.

This year 'only' 80.000 tickets will be on sale which is 10.000 less than last

IN FLAMES - June 26th
Tickets
During some years the festival management has talked about making the festival
a bit smaller than the last couple of years 90.000 visitors, so therefore only
80.000 tickets will be on sale this year.
